So, you have lots of Triax SR100's that need tuned up.

The easy way is to acquire a null-modem cable for data transfers between STB's.

Set one Triax SR100 up the way you want it (tuning/channel arrangement/deletion of garbage). This box is now your "Master" box.

With box switched off, interconnect this box with another SR100 using the null-modem cable.

Switch on the Master STB and wait til it's booted.

Next, simply switch on the "slave" box - you'll see progress indicator on the slave STB as it copies from the Master.

It goes without saying, that you should never unplug any box while data transfer is in progress.

Null modem cable swaps pin 2 & 3 (if both ends are 9 pin). If in doubt you can check with a meter. Typically both ends are female.

An "actual" modem cable will be straight through (if both ends are 9 pin). Though if one end is 25way and the other 9 way, then the pin 2& 3 are swapped, because pin2 & 3 have opposite meaning on a 9 pin and 25 pin connector.

There are actually FOUR ways to wire the handshake wires on a Null Modem cable, but if Triax have any wit, the SW will work with any of the Four handshake wiring options.

If a cable SAME size plug AND is male one end and female the other end, then it's almost certianly NOT a "null" modem cable and won't work even with a "gender" changer.
